Brieana Buckley joined Rhythm as our Vice President of Medical Affairs in June of 2020.  Brieana is a driven medical affairs leader with a proven track record of strategic planning, real-world evidence execution and communication, key stakeholder engagement, and team development throughout her career. She is responsible for driving Rhythm’s medical strategy as well as contributing to cross-functional commercialization initiatives. Prior to joining Rhythm, Brieana served as Head of Medical Value Strategy and Execution at Biogen, where she provided scientific, clinical and health economics and outcomes information, in pursuit of piloting strategic efforts for Biogen’s portfolio of neuroscience products including multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, biosimilars and gene therapy. In advance of her time at Biogen, she held the role of Head of MSLs, Rare Blood Disorder at Sanofi Genzyme. There, she led her global team to forge strong relationships with physicians and KOLS, while further cultivating her passion for working to improve the lives of those living with rare disorders. Brieana earned a PharmD at the University of Utah and an M.S. in Applied Pharmacoeconomics from the University of Florida. She completed residency training at Intermountain Healthcare with a focus in managed care. She also serves on the leadership presidency for the Blackstone Valley Relief Society, a regional women’s service organization.
